Oytun Orgül

Oytun Orgul is a freelance lighting cameraman, aerial cameraman and AVID editor who is based in Istanbul, Turkey. He was born in 1981. He has a BA degree in Film & Television from Istanbul Bilgi University. He is highly experienced in documentaries and TV programmes. There are lots of national TV channels, production companies and also some international corporations like Al Jazeera and Tarmak Films in his references. He has worked with important TV and documentary producers of Turkey, including Soner YALCIN, Cuneyt OZDEMİR and Coskun ARAL. He has followed up the 2006 Nobel Prize ceremony in Stockholm for CNN TURK TV. He also worked in difficult nature conditions like Antarctica and Pamir Mountains for different filming projects. He shoot documentaries in some underdeveloped countries like Cambodia and Tajikistan.

In 2011, he has been selected to SONY's Independent Certified Experts(ICE) team, which gathers successful media professional from all around the world.

He has been interested in chess in high school years and made mountaineering in university years. He is still climbing and also traveling all around Turkey for work or travel. In 2008, he gets his CMAS license and began to diving. In the following years, he hopes to shoot underwater documentaries, too. He has been interested in photography since year 2002. Some of his photographs were published in some magazines and books, sometimes with his articles.
